29th October: Rugby Birds vs Uni Freshers
We lost 24-10, but the game was very good, so congratulations to everyone who played, especially to all
the freshers & 2nd years who were making their debuts. Tries were scored by Laura Facey & Georgie (lazy try!!!)
but there were so many people who played really well. Also, thanks to everyone who came & supported us - it was really
appriciated
Easter: RSM 7s tournament
We didn't get through the group but played well & had a lo of fun. Included some great tries by Georgie
& a VERY big bath
Saturday 11th March: old birds vs young chicks
old birds won by a few - 0. good game though, & we never had 16 players on the pitch.... :S !!!
Saturday, sometime in February/March time: Bristol away
Won by quite a few - 0 (I'll look up the score... & date.) Well played by everyone & especially
by freshers making their debut.
Saturday 4th February: Southampton away
lost by too many! Everyone played brilliantly though. Congratulations to people who played their debut match.
Saturday 5th November: Southampton home
lost 68-nil. Good game though, score doesn't indicate the closeness of the match.
Saturday 22nd October: Bristol home
57-nil. well done to everyone who played. Especially to Tamsin for her hat-trick and Hels for her first
ever try!

won 1, lost 2, came 3rd.

50something - 10. well done to Laura Facey for her tries!

old birds win again. even though we had a 5 point head start again. 45-10 to the oldies. at least we scored
one try

won 22-15
well done meg, who actually managed a conversion! (a rare event in birds rugby) well done everyone
Sunday 21st November 2004; vs Bristol medics (away)
lost 10-24
too many high tackles in closing stages. walked off with dignity and faces intact. except for
laura facey. chin up.
20/03/04 chicks against old birds. In the most ridiculous weather conditions ever.
It was 12-10 to the old birds but if you include a previous bet in the pub the chicks actually won because
the started with a 5 point advantage. We will call it a draw.
06/03/04 v Southampton medics. lost 32 - 15. Grrrrr.
15/02/04 v Leister lost 72 - 0 but can i just say that everyone played really
really well and put up a great fight considering how much smaller/younger/less capped we were!
24/03/04 7's tournement we won and came 3rd - how awsome are we?!!? well done everyone!
